This information is taken from Chapter XXIV of Austin A. Yates’ Schenectady County, New York: Its History to the Close of the Nineteenth Century and lists the genealogies which were to small to merit pages of their own. Carley (p. 291)

Joseph Carley, a veteran of the Continental army, came after the Revolution, and built on Front Street. His son was Gerardus I. Carley, the partner at one time of DeGraff, Walton & Co, and the father of Mr.
Joseph G. Carley of this city.
